What That Means for You

What It Does Not Change

Operators do not pay us to be listed or ranked. We rank by the places a walk reaches, its reviews and its price, and we show ratings below four as they are. Some pages recommend a free self-guided route, which earns us nothing, because for some readers it is the better answer.

Which Links Are Affiliate Links

Buttons such as “Book this walk”, “Check dates” and “Book the workshop”, and the availability widgets, lead to GetYourGuide and carry our partner ID. Links to official sites — the Witch House, the Salem Witch Museum, the city — are ordinary links and earn nothing.

Why We Tell You

Under the rules of the US Federal Trade Commission, a site that earns from recommendations has to say so clearly and close to the recommendation. We say it on this page, under every booking widget and in the footer of every page, because a reader deciding where to spend a day in Salem deserves to know who pays for the advice. None of this costs you anything extra.
